Located more than 800 metres above sea level, the farm creates a special microclimate giving this extra virgin olive oil some unique and unmistakable characteristics.

Jorge Petit is certain that it takes an excellent olive oil to satisfy discerning palates - from olives that have been treated with love and care and are picked at the perfect moment of ripening. For Petit Sr. a key ‘ingredient’ is the passion shown by the Petit family in nurturing each and every one of the 14,000 olive trees on the Masía el Altet estate.

Tasting / special notes:

Acidity: 0.08%

Colour: Green

Smell: A fruity, long-lasting bouquet. The smell of freshly cut grass as well as that of artichoke leaves and stalks. The bouquet is rounded off with a touch of apple, citrus fruit, bananas and figs.

You will also find the aromas of endive, chicory, rocket, tomato plant, tomato, unripe walnut husk and others of spontaneous secondary perception. And of course the aromatic herbs such as thyme and rosemary.

Taste: Sweet but slightly less dense compared to the High Quality. You will enjoy the perception of grass and recently-cut alfalfa, that of wheat and spring barley.

Its overtones continue with green fruits, aromatic herbs and the intense taste of tomato and tomato plant. And last but not least, take note of the final somewhat spicy taste due to the quality of the polyphenols in this pure olive oil.
