The producers are carefully picked based on their produce, region, expertise & philosophy. We work very closely with our producers & we engage in collaborative local projects. Our projects are focused on creativity, quality & safeguarding the sustainability of our producers, the local community & the environment.
We understand our clients' needs & provide tailored solutions. We mainly work with brand owners, food producers, spice merchants, aroma houses, perfume makers, retailers & e-tailers.

Our milestones

2012Founded in the UK.

2013Launched in Harrods, London, our first own brand, K BY TYNDIS - Premium Organic Virgin Coconut Oil.

2014Started our first local project to save ‘The Wayanadan TGSEB Black Peppercorns’. The highest grade it is often quoted to be the first identified Black Pepper in the world.

2014Begin work with our partner in Mexico to promote Mexican vanilla – the original vanilla.

2016Launched in Harrods, London, Miasa Premium Saffron.

2017On the Advisory & Administrative Board of Vanamoolika, an organic farming community in India with around 435 farmers, that was founded in 1991.

2017Started working with our Madagascan partner to promote the finest Madagascan Vanilla.

2018We add Indian vanilla to our offering.

2020Started working with our Greek saffron producers & Hungarian Paprika producers.

Our origins
Respecting the past, living in the present and looking into the future
1921
Our story begins in the year 1921 in Kerala, a tiny state on the south-western tip of India. A young man called Ittiyera leaves his village and, full of hope and dreams, migrates to a small market town called Palakkad.
1923
Ittiyera starts a small business, P. K. Ittiyera & Sons, trading in coconut oil - a much sought after commodity - after spending a few years working for established traders and learning the trade.
1957
Trade flourishes and the business builds a solid reputation for trading in only the best quality of oil. Gradually the family moves into production by establishing a mill.
2018
Still successfully producing and trading from its original location, World of Origins is the creation of the family's 3rd generation. Based in the UK and built on the vision of high quality, World of Origins aspires to create new avenues for a select group of local producers and global clients.
